Job Opportunity at 1Nebula:
We are seeking a dynamic Finance Manager to join our team and serve on our Executive Committee (Exco).
This role is critical in overseeing our finance, HR, and IT support functions. As a key player in our leadership team,
you'll ensure our financial health, support our strategic goals, and contribute to our overall business success.
This position offers a clear pathway to senior leadership within the company or group.
What You will do within this role (Your key responsibilities):

Financial Leadership: Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting,
and compliance. -
Team Management: Lead and mentor teams across finance, HR, and IT support, fostering a collaborative
and high-performance culture.

Strategic Planning: Partner with senior management to develop and execute financial strategies that align with
our business objectives.

Operational Excellence: Ensure robust financial controls and processes are in place, and drive continuous
improvement initiatives.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to support business activities and
promote organisational effectiveness.

Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate financial insights and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.

Pricing Reviews: Conduct regular pricing reviews to ensure competitive and profitable pricing strategies.

Internal Valuations: Perform internal valuations of the group to support strategic decision-making.

Financial Analysis: Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies to safeguard the company’s assets and financial stability.

Oversight of Emerging International Operations: Oversee and manage the company’s growing international banking activities
and compliance with global regulations. Given that these operations are still maturing, provide strategic financial oversight
to support their development and maturity. -
Fiduciary and Secretarial: Act as the main financial advisor to the board, presenting financial reports and ensuring
transparent communication with shareholders. Oversee corporate governance and manage all fiduciary duties and
documentation related to board and shareholder activities. -
Special Knowledge: Convert complex tax opinions and business challenges into actionable financial calculations,
ensure compliance, optimise tax positions, and analyse the financial impact for senior management. - Project Management: Oversee financial aspects of key projects, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints and strategic goals.
More about You (Our requirements for the role):
Although we believe in the potential of others more than anything else there are some minimum requirementswe would look for so consider these before sending us your application:
- CA(SA) Qualification: Must be a Chartered Accountant (South Africa).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of post-article experience in a finance role.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in financial management, including accounting, reporting, and financial analysis.
- Excel Mastery: Exceptional skills in Microsoft Excel for financial modelling and analysis.
- Power BI: Experience with Power BI is a plus, but a strong interest and willingness to develop skills in this area are essential.
- Execution Focus: Proven ability to deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- People Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for team leadership and stakeholder management.
